That's the name I gave her. I found her here in Las Vegas on thesamba, she was on her second cycle, (meaning well over 3 months up for sale) everybody just wanted her for parts, like cutting out her rag section. The owner didn't want to cut her up, and one day at work, I was looking at thesamba on my phone and found her, and she was only about 7-8 miles from my house. She came with tons of extra parts. So many that by the time I sold off the extra parts I actually made money by buying her. She was extremely rusted out, but all her replacement parts came with her. So now comes the extensive build. I've built bugs in the garage before but I was finally in a place to have one built for me, so I dropped her off at Classic Vdubz in las vegas. 14 weeks later she was home. Now over the last 2 years I've done and changed things here and there but for the most part she'll stay the same. She will get some new 17's before the Irvine Classic!

Guten Tag! Fellow AirKewld Comrades!

I've been reading up on the articles here and scouring the Internet for more information on how to install my BAD Brakes and lower the rear of my 52 beetle. I'm proud to say I found a four part video at You Tube that shows how a Late Model Type 3 was lowered. After watching this and re-reading the Airkewld article on the proper way to lower you VeeDub I understand the process a lot better and now have the confidence to do this mod myself, with a little help from my friends.

I hope once you've checked out the Video area of The Garage, Installation Category, you'll gain the same confidence as I did after viewing them. Until the next time your under the hood.....

Ok guys. I need a bit of advice from all you resto veterans. I've torn out all the interior of my super to get a good look at the floor pans. Well, I can see asphalt in several places all around the car so I have ordered all new floor pans. I was gonna post some pics but it just depressed me too much. My question is will it be worth my while to take the body off the pan to do these repairs or is that unnecessary? I'm not really in a big hurry but I dont have a garage or anything to do the work in so I am a little hesitant to do a body-off in my driveway. I would appreciate any advice you guys have to offer. Thanks

The weather has started to turn nice again, so its time to unpack the car from its winterized form. The air ride went on at the end of last season, so just a few more hours of finishing up the rear kit and will be good to go. Just recently installed a Ron Lummus Racing Roll Bar, with new Empi seats and Berg Shifter. The 2165 has freshly rebuilt 45 DRLAs ready to run, and a recent Carbon Fiber Decklid from Dubbers Toy Box in California, is providing the cover for it this season. Special thanks to CB Performance for engine parts, Airkewld for air ride and body pieces, and CIP1 for just about everything else.

Hey there my fellow AirKewld Comrades! As I wait for my new Bad Azz Brakes and Kewld Down Front Beam I got my new wheels shipped in. I'm sorry to say they aren't CnC'd at Pete's place. I couldn't resist a smok'in Samba Deal. Here's what I got:

So my plan was to polish on my rims to my AirKewld part arrive but I keep on checking out the goodies and found a few more items to work on until they arrive. I've got the polished Iron Cross Emblem for the Hood and for the rear I picked up the Billet License plate with the 3rdbrake light build into for that custom and enhanced safety touch.

When I get these on I'll let you guys and gals check it.

Until Then,

Keep On Bugg'in

I got a recent email from James D out of Sunny Vale Cali and he showed me this sick 55. He wanted a change as he had been rolling it for a while like you see here. He is now going to outfit wit with BAD Series brakes front and rear along with a 4" Ultimate beam so he can fit some Privat 17's and 18's on his ride. Its going to turn this sleeper into a Sick Dreamer!
