A proven way to lower your Classic Volkswagen Type 1 Beetle or Karmann Ghia with link pin front suspension (1949–1965) is by welding in precision adjusters at the center of the beam.

When installed at 25° above parallel, these adjusters provide a total of 7.5" of ride height adjustment—from true stock height at the top setting to 7.5" lower, with infinite fine-tuning in between.

Unlike the unreliable “50/50” shortcut, which compromises suspension geometry and safety, Airkewld adjusters preserve factory engineering. Proper installation ensures full travel, stable handling, and safe operation.

I have seen many beam adjusters, and Airkewld brand seem to be leaps past any brand I have used in the past, they are very solid and the engineering behind them where the section that slides into the beam strengthen the assembly after the welds are in place and they offer better height and drop options. The price does reflect the better build but who can put a price on safety.
