How engines work in our process
Airkewld doesn't sell, install, or store engines. Your chassis is delivered as a roller — suspension, brakes, and drivetrain installed, ready for your body and engine. Once your chassis arrives, you install your engine yourself. On Heritage builds, send your chassis as a roller with the engine removed — we need to see it assembled to inspect for issues we'll address during the build.

Questions people ask before they reserve
No. Every build includes a straight, titled pan that we source and restore — you ship us nothing, and your finished chassis is delivered to your door. If you'd rather build on your own original pan, that's a Heritage build and takes a flat $3,500 off any style.
Yes — and it's not a "starting at." Your style's price is the complete, all-in price, locked in writing the day you reserve or pay in full. The only things that change it are menu options with printed prices (like pan shortening, +$4,200) or the Heritage rebate. Published prices may rise over time; yours can't once you've reserved.
Same PRObuilt foundation on every build — transaxle, suspension, brakes, rust-free titled pan. The style changes the stance and hardware: ride height, beam, shocks, air management, brake spec. Pick the way you want the car to sit and drive; we handle the engineering. Any style can be built on a shortened pan for buggies and kits (+$4,200).
Ship us your pan — as a roller, assembled, on its wheels, with the engine removed and title included — and we take a flat $3,500 off any style. We can arrange pickup: we have RoadRunners on standby, budget up to $2,500 and whatever isn't used is refunded back to you. Rust repair is included, same as every build; repair panels are kept in stock. Wrecked or twisted chassis we can't save — not sure about yours? Send us a photo before you reserve and we'll tell you straight.

Fourteen days before your build month begins. That's what keeps every slot honest — for you and for the five other builds in the shop.
Slide your slot to a later month — once, free, no fees. Your $5,000 and your locked price move with it. And if plans change entirely, your $5,000 converts to store credit toward anything we build. Reserved money is never lost money.
Affirm, Klarna, Afterpay, and PayPal Pay Later. For qualified buyers at Affirm's best promotional rate, the full build starts around $917/mo. Pre-qualification is a soft credit check — it doesn't affect your score. You can check your actual rate at checkout.
Roughly 15 weeks from the day your build begins to delivery. Pay in full and you take the next open slot; reserve for $5,000 and your build begins in the month you picked. Timelines can shift based on configuration.
For chassis builds we don't issue a formal warranty — instead, every customer becomes part of the Airkewld family for life. We stand behind our work and we're here when you need us. Standard wear-and-tear items aren't covered. (Our standard 90-day guarantee covers everything else we sell through the site.)
