Compatibility

• This kit is designed to work with an OEM Volkswagen front beam or an Ultimate/ECObuilt Beam from Airkewld. The PRO's can not tech support another vendors beam with our air ride kit.
• Drop Spindles are required if you want to get as low as possible. If you need advice on what spindles make the most sense, check out this article.
• The link pin lower shock relocaters are recommended and will require less pressure to lift and will give the vehicle an even better ride quality as it moves the lower shock mount into a better leverage location.

• If you are utilizing a pre-59 transaxle with straight shock mounts, you will need to update the mounts to a late model set found here or update to a late model transaxle, like this.

Q: Is welding required for this kit? A: Yes. Both front and rear kits require welding

Q: Does the body need to come off to install the air ride? A: To do it right, yes. If you have a pit or lift, it can make it easier but the PRO's recommend to remove the body, it should only take 1-2 hours to make that happen and the ease of installation triples.

Q: Can the heaters still work with the air ride kit installed? A: Simple answer, No. If you are fabrication friendly, you can make it work.

Q: Will this work with my existing narrowed beam? A: If it looks like a stock beam and still has factory towers and roller bearings inside the beam, yes. All others, no.

Q: What kind of time would it take to install this on my VW? A: 16 hours or 1 weekend.

Q: Do I need Drop Spindles with my this Air Ride Kit? A: Yes. The kit was designed with them being used.

Q: Can I use an electronic air management kit with your air ride? A: You can, but we will be unable to tech support any issue as we don't have the ability to recreate any issues or problems with every vendors AMK and their updates.

Q: Do you offer a bolt on solution? A: Up front we do with our Stage 2 PRObuilt Beam that comes with a narrowed beam, drop spindles, with the air ride installed for literally a 4 hour install up front. The air management kit we supply is bolt on. The rear kits we offer are all weld on.

Q: Is there anything else I will need with this kit? A: No. But check the PRO's recommendations above for specific call-outs.
