⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - "The ultimate bolt-on lowering kit for 1949–1965 VW Beetle & Ghia. Adjustable up to 10", engineered for safety, precision, and perfect stance—no body mods required." - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Looking to lower your Classic Volkswagen the right way? Airkewld’s Complete PRObuilt Lowering Kit gives you everything you need to safely and correctly drop your 1949–1965 Type 1 Beetle or Karmann Ghia.
This kit lowers the front between 2.5" (63mm) and 10" (254mm) and the rear from stock height to 6" (150mm) lower, while maintaining proper geometry and drivability. Unlike “shortcuts” that compromise safety, this kit uses engineered components, assembled and quality-checked by the PRO’s, ensuring the BEST user experience.
Why Stock Height Isn’t Really Stock
Over the decades, factory torsions sag and ride height drops gradually—making today’s “stock” Beetle or Ghia sit lower than showroom height. Off the lot, there was a 6" gap between the top of the tire and the fender arch, and the rear had slight positive camber. This kit restores proper adjustability so you control the stance, not time.

FAQ
Do I need to modify my body to fit this beam?
No. The inside dimension is 29 13/16", giving 1/16" clearance on each side.
How do you narrow a beam 4" when stock only has ½" clearance each side?
We gusset outward from the original tube ends to create the correct width. [Watch video here].
My arms don’t slide into the beam. Do I need your arms?
No. Most original arms haven’t been serviced and need to be polished with emery cloth to slide smoothly. Forcing them in will affect ride quality. [Watch video here].
Why PRObuilt Spindles instead of unassembled ones?
Ease, precision, and QC. Unassembled spindles require pressing, reaming, and specialized tools—often a weekend job. Ours are professionally assembled with German components, QC checked, and ready to bolt in.
Will PRObuilt Drop Spindles fix my worn king/link pins?
Yes. They include new FEBI king pins, link pins, bushings, and carriers—installed and reamed to factory spec by the PRO’s.
Do they fit with disc brakes?
Yes, our BAD Series Brakes (GEN 1 or GEN 2) fit perfectly with these spindles.
