WHEEL FITMENT
If you are running stock wheels or the normal 15x5.5's, keep the original shock length axles. But if you want to venture out into wide wheels with different offsets and back spacing's, you have options. With a short axle set up, you can go with a max back spacing of 4.625" on a 7" wide wheel with no camber and 8.50" wide wheel with camber. If the wheels you want to run have a 5 to 5.50" back spacing, the long axle-short spline transaxle is what you need to fit them. However, the width will shrink by 1.00". So the max width of a wheel is 7.50". The long spline 1968 axle will protrude through the center cap of the wheel where the 66-67 axle will not.
