The best option for installing drop spindles on your 1966 through 1968 Classic Volkswagen Type 1 Beetle and Karmann Ghia for the ball joint application is this set of Forged DRUM drop spindles. It will lower your vehicle 2.5" and add 3/8" of track width to each side. They work with either stock drum brakes or our GEN 1 or GEN 2 BAD Series Brakes. Because these drop spindles were made for later models, the PRO's are including a set of German roller bearings, inner seat and premium outer tie rod ends so that this is a bolt on solution for these years and models. These spindles would replace the factory spindles with part numbers 113405311 and 13405312E.

I hate reading reviews from people who think the thing they just bought is GREAT, and can't wait to try it out. It only means they are excited about whatever the hell they just bought. However, Airkewld prompted me to review. I can say affirmatively that I was very happy with the purchasing and shipping experience. I ordered this set off drop spindles over the holidays during a company wide shutdown. If ordered online during this time there was a discount. The day Airkewld re-opened I called and was able to add another product to the order. That was Jan 6. My order arrived Jan 9 and everything was in order. I can say the quality on the ball joints looks good, but I have not had the opportunity to install them yet.

Good value by providing the inner bearings and tie rod ends. Only suggestion I have would be to provide the outer bearings and washers as well. Thanks Airkewld!
