Fitment Guide

Front Applications

  • 1949–79 Beetle & Karmann Ghia (US Spec): Requires a 4" narrowed beam to tuck wheels with drop spindles and disc brakes when using 5.125" backspacing.

Rear Applications

  • 1949–65 Beetle & Karmann Ghia (US Spec): Short axles work with 4.625" backspacing for a staggered stance.

  • 1966–68 Beetle (US Spec): Use 5.125" with long axles. For staggered fitment, swap to short axles or use +1.250" wider fenders.

  • 1966–68 Karmann Ghia: Must run 5.125".

  • 1969–79 Beetle & Super Beetle (US Spec): Must run 5.125" with IRS. Staggered setups require +1.250" wider fenders or our I-Arms (1" narrowed).

Type 2 Bus (1955–79, US Spec)

  • Use 5.125" front and rear.

  • If converted to short axles, 4.625" rears may be used.

Porsche 356 (to 1963)

  • 5.125" front and 4.625" rear fit without modification.

Type 3 (US Spec)

  • Requires 5.125" fronts.

  • Long axle or IRS: run 5.125" rears.

  • Short axle conversion: allows 4.625" rears.
