This carefully designed kit includes: 1 FKM TC Seal : Crafted from high-quality Fluoroelastomer (FKM), this TC (dual lip) seal features a primary lip to prevent oil leakage and a secondary dust lip to block contaminants, ensuring exceptional protection for your swing axle. The 44.5mm inner diameter is specifically sized to fit stock VW axle spacers, providing a precise and reliable seal (VW Part Number: 111 501 315H).   

FKM offers significant advantages over other materials like silicone, Buna, and nitrile, including superior resistance to high temperatures (up to 400°F/204°C), harsh chemicals, and synthetic oils, ensuring long-term durability in demanding environments. Unlike silicone, which can swell or degrade under oil exposure, or Buna and nitrile, which have lower heat and chemical resistance, FKM maintains its integrity, reducing wear and extending service life. Note: Always measure your axle spacer and cross-check with the seal dimensions to confirm compatibility, as many kits include incorrectly sized seals and/or spacers that lead failure.   

Large and Small FKM O-Rings : Made from the same robust FKM material, these o-rings deliver exceptional sealing performance under extreme conditions, preventing leaks and extending the life of your rear axle assembly (VW Part Numbers: 111 598 051 for large O-ring, 111 598 051A for small O-ring). The FKM composition ensures greater resilience against heat, oil, and abrasion compared to silicone, which may soften or crack, or Buna and nitrile, which are prone to hardening or breaking down in high-temperature or chemically aggressive environments.   

Hardened Steel Shim: gone are the days of thin material that turns into putty when you torque your rear axle nut. The hardened steel shim will do the job it's designed for without failure
